Carroll County Park District

About Carroll County Park District

Established in December of 1999, the Carroll County Park District serves the residents, businesses and visitors of Carroll County.  The Park District presently has two parks - Carroll Community Park and The Bluebird Farm Park. Our goal is to preserve, conserve and provide recreational opportunities for all to enjoy. The Bluebird Farm Park is best known for its serene setting, gift shop, toy museum, Amphitheater and concerts, and most importantly, the gardens, trails and arboretum.

The Park District has completed several improvements to Carroll Community Park. The recently updated pavilion is great for large groups, graduation parties and receptions. Rex Energy ball fields and Fusion Soccer field are great for recreation programs (check with Executive Director for scheduling and availability). Thanks to grants from the Carroll County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) NatureWorks program, the Ashton Foundation, and the Carroll County Rotary, a newly constructed playground was completed in 2013-2014 (Phase I & Phase II). The Carroll Community Park is located on Salineville Rd (SR 39), just outside of Carrollton.

The Bluebird Farm Park has several venues available to rent. The Garden Room, adjacent to the rose garden, is perfect for small gatherings. The Hannon Hall, located just above Susie's Museum of Childhood, and is a great place to hold business meetings, trainings, baby and/or wedding showers, family gatherings and holiday parties. Call ahead to make reservations and check availability.

Susie's Museum of Childhood holds thousands of treasured memories to view! With a variety of dolls and toys, this collection will take you back to your childhood. Admission is $2 - children 6 and under enter for free.

The Joyce Hannon Suite is also available for reservations! It is adjacent to the Hannon Hall, and could be that peaceful weekend getaway place you're looking for, or can be reserved as an extended stay. It has a large deck that overlooks the rose garden - a beautiful view! Amenities included:  Full kitchen, washer/dryer, television (Dish network), and more! Contact the park for more information and availability.

The waterfall, located next to the restaurant, was restored in 2014. The restoration was made possible through a generous donation provided by Carol and Rick Hannon. The waterfall, steps and surrounding garden is a great place to visit, especially for visitors taking pictures.

During the summer, one can enjoy our concert series at the Bluebird Farm Park Amphitheater (look for updates on the Amphitheater page). The Amphitheater is also available for parties, family reunions, weddings and company picnics!

Both parks provide scenic walking trails and plenty of quiet places to sit and enjoy nature.
