Everyone
met at Susie’s After
visiting the museum, the group headed over for lunch at the
English Gazebo. Cynthia Walton, of Cynthia’s Restaurant at After lunch was finished, a story of the history of the teddy bear was told by Polly Stewart. Once the meal and story was over, and
before the Teddy’s became sleepy, everyone took a hike on
the Scenic Trail, where each found a plush animal hiding in
the woods.
Once the group returned from the adventure, everyone relaxed on blankets in the garden behind the museum and picnic leader Joan Enterline provided pumpkins for the group to decorate. There were a lot of wild and crazy pumpkins! When decorating was over, it was time to announce the Teddy Bear Winners! Smallest Bear: Gabrielle Vega Largest Bear: Juliette Vega Best Dressed: Tie- Jordan Koons & Camryn Barker What a hard decision it was! Everyone’s teddy was a winner and with teddy’s from as far away as Fairlawn, Oh, and a “living teddy” costume, Judges Wayne Chunat and Chad Steele had a tough time picking! All in all everyone had a great time and we hope to see you next year! A big THANK YOU! to all who volunteered and helped out, from the Carroll County Park District! |
